Editor’s Note: This is the first installment of our Colorado Lacrosse Report High School Rankings. The rankings will be released every Sunday beginning the first week of the season. The rankings are based on our staff’s combined opinions and all factors will be considered including but not limited to: Head-to-head, strength of schedule, RPI, and, of course, overall win percentage.

Let’s get straight to it. Here’s our 2019 $A Boys High School Preseason Rankings:

1 Cheyenne Mountain —-
2 Thompson Valley —-
3 Aspen —-
4 Golden —-
5 Battle Mountain —-
6 Steamboat Springs —-
7 Dawson School —-
8 Green Mountain —-
9 Littleton —-
10 Conifer —-

  • Thanks to a thrilling championship performance eight months ago, Cheyenne Mountain has earned the No. 1 ranking in our preseason poll.
  • Thompson Valley checks in at No. 2 after a promising playoff run that came to an abrupt end last spring at the hands of Cheyenne Mountain.
  • Golden sits at No. 4 after earning the 4th seed in last year’s state tournament and proving they had every right to be there by making it to the semis.
  • Dawson School fell hard in this year’s preseason poll due to the fact that much of Dawson’s core group of talented players graduated last spring. After having their hearts broken in shocking fashion last May, this likely could be a rebuilding year for Coach Devlin and the Mustangs.
