To all our readers:

I’d first like to start off by saying welcome, and thank you for finding our new site. This is the new Colorado Lacrosse Report. From this point forward, will be the home of every piece of lacrosse news the state of Colorado has to offer. Moving to this new site was not something we necessarily wanted to do (I’ll get to that in a moment), but it’s proven to be something that works out better for our readers and our writers. It’s funny how life works out sometimes.

So let’s get to what happened. Here’s the story: Since we launched in late 2015, we used a third party site to help create and maintain our site. The company we used provided us with features that we loved including stats monitoring, a huge photo library, and built-in advertising that allowed us to make money. Recently, however, we began to notice that these features were disappearing. First, we noticed that the site has gotten rid of our ability to see any stats from our page. Then, the advertising revenue share program was discontinued. We decided to reach out to see what was going on.

Turns out that our parent site was changing a whole lot. Every small change we noticed was leading up to a major change, one that would reshape the entire structure of the site. Don’t get me wrong, though. The change sounded epic. Every idea they were going to introduce sounded great. I’ll never have anything against them for trying to evolve in this way, and I can’t wait to see what the new site looks like. There was one major problem though: the site would be shutting down as it rebuilt, meaning that we could not post anything on our blog until things were finished. In fact, we wouldn’t even have the ability to log in to our account.

We were willing to work through this, however. We could go a week or two without posting, in fact, we do that on our own sometimes. But there was one line in the email that we couldn’t get over:
“Please check back in a few months.”

A FEW MONTHS?!?! I’m sorry, but that doesn’t work for us. That very well could have left us without a platform to post articles in the middle of our busiest season of the year. It was a risk that we weren’t willing to take. Time to move on.

So now, here we are! We’ve found a new home here at and are happy to be back. After taking a couple months off for the offseason before building this new website, it’s time for us to start posting again. We have already moved much of our old content over to the new site. This post will serve as a placeholder. Anything posted before this is from our old page, everything after this post is new content for you to enjoy.

Thanks so much for your time. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
